Municipality of Bogatić

The municipality of Bogatić is a territorial unit in which citizens exercise the right to local self-government in accordance with the Constitution, the law and the Statute of the municipality, through citizens’ initiatives, assemblies of citizens, referendums, other forms of citizen participation in the performance of the affairs of the Municipality of Bogatić and through their councilors in the Municipal Assembly.

The territory of the municipality of Bogatić includes populated places, i.e. the areas of cadastral municipalities: Bogatić, Badovinci, Klenje, Očage, Salaš Crnobarski, Crna Bara, Glogovac, Sovljak, Banovo Polje, Mačvanski Metković, Glušci, Uzveće, Belotić, Dublje.

The seat of the municipality is in Bogatić.

Municipality Day is the 10th. September.

The municipality of Bogatić conducts affairs with its competences established by the Constitution and the law, as well as affairs within the framework of the rights and duties of the Republic that are entrusted by law.

The affairs of the municipality of Bogatić are managed by the municipal authorities within their jurisdiction established by law and the Municipal Statute. The work of the organ is public.

The bodies of the municipality of Bogatić are the Municipal Assembly, the executive bodies of the municipality (president of the municipality and the municipal council) and the municipal administration.

President of Bogatić Municipality - Milan Damnjanović

The municipal president is elected by the municipal assembly, from among councilors, for a period of four years, by secret ballot, with a majority of votes from the total number of councilors of the municipal assembly. The mayor of the municipality has a deputy who replaces him in case of his absence and inability to perform his duties.

The President of the Municipal Assembly proposes a candidate for the President of the Municipality. The candidate for the municipal president proposes a candidate for the deputy municipal president from among the councilors, who is elected by the Municipal Assembly in the same way as the municipal president.

The municipal president and deputy municipal president’s mandate as councilors in the Municipal Assembly ends upon election to these positions. The mayor and the deputy mayor are permanently employed in the municipality.

Deputy Mayor of Bogatić - Teodor Teodorović

Responsibilities:

The Deputy President of the Municipality replaces the President of the Municipality in case of his absence and inability to perform his duties.

Teodor Teodorovic

Teodor Teodorović was born on 01 October 1989 in Šabac. He is a specialist in engineering management by profession. Since 2013 until 2014 was an intern in the municipal administration of Bogatić municipality. Since 2014 until 2017 He was employed in the Directorate for Agriculture and the Village of the Municipality of Bogatić. Since 2017 until March 2020. In 2010, he worked in the company “M Biogas” on the construction of a biogas plant as a responsible person.

In August 2020 By the decision of the Bogatić Municipal Assembly, he was elected as the Deputy President of the Bogatić Municipality.

He is one of the three trustees of the Municipal Committee of the Serbian Progressive Party in Bogatic and a trustee of the Local Committee of the Serbian Progressive Party in Salaš Crnobarski.

Assistant to the mayor of the municipality - Matija Milovanović

Responsibilities:

Assistants to the municipal president initiate initiatives, propose projects and give opinions regarding issues that are important for the development of the municipality in the areas for which they are appointed and instructed by the municipal president.

The municipal president’s assistants are appointed and dismissed by the municipal president.

Matija Milovanović

He was born on the 17th. November 1982 in Karlovac, Republic of Croatia. He finished elementary school “Laza K. Lazarevic” in Klenj, and “Mačvanska secondary school” in Bogatić. He graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Novi Sad, and completed a master’s degree in academic studies in law, as well as a master’s degree in academic studies in political science, majoring in international relations and diplomacy.

Legal trainee at the “Petrov” law office in Sremska Mitrovica. He held several important public functions in the municipality of Bogatić. He was a member of the Municipal Council of Bogatić Municipality since July 2013. until July 2014. years. Since July 2014, he has been the director of the Public Enterprise “Directorate for Construction Land, Roads and Construction of the Municipality of Bogatić”. until the end of 2016. years. President of the Management Board of the Health Center in Bogatic since October 2017. until November 2018. years. From 2018 From 2005 until today, he is the assistant to the president of the municipality of Bogatić in the area of local self-government organization, education, sports and culture, communal infrastructure, social issues and youth issues.

He speaks English and uses Spanish.

Married, father of one child. He has been a member of the Serbian Progressive Party since its foundation.

Assistant to the mayor of the municipality - Nikola Tošić

Nikola Tošić, master of economics by profession, was born on 4 February 1993 in Šabac. He graduated from the “Vuk Karadzic” elementary school in Badovinci, and then from the secondary school of economics and trade in Šabac, majoring in economic technician. Winner of Vuk’s diploma for achievements during elementary and high school education. He completed his undergraduate and master’s studies in the field of accounting and auditing at the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, University of Novi Sad. During 2020 employed as an accountant in the Agency for the provision of bookkeeping services. In January 2021. appointed assistant to the president of the municipality of Bogatić for the area of economic development, entrepreneurship, agriculture and tourism.

Bogatić Municipality Assembly

The Municipal Assembly is the highest authority that performs the basic functions of local government, established by the Constitution, the law and the Statute.

The Bogatić Municipal Assembly consists of 31 councilors, who are elected by citizens in direct elections, by secret ballot, in accordance with the law and the Statute. Decisions are made by the majority of votes of the councilors present, unless the law or the Statute stipulates otherwise.

The Municipal Assembly is considered constituted by the election of the President of the Municipal Assembly and the appointment of the Secretary of the Municipal Assembly.

President of the Municipal Assembly - Siniša Puzić

Responsibilities:

The President of the Municipal Assembly organizes the work of the Municipal Assembly, convenes and presides over its sessions, proposes the agenda, cooperates with the President of the Municipality and the Council, takes care of publicizing the work, signs the acts passed by the Municipal Assembly and performs other tasks determined by the Statute of the Municipal Assembly and the Rules of Procedure .

The President of the Municipal Assembly is elected from among the councilors, on the proposal of at least a third of the councilors, for a period of four years, by secret ballot, with a majority of votes from the total number of councilors of the Municipal Assembly.

The President of the Municipal Assembly can work permanently in the Municipality.

Siniša Puzić

He was born on the 21st. July 1957 in Bogatić. He is a professional mechanical engineer by profession. He is married and the father of two children.

He has many years of political experience, during which the citizens elected him as councilor of the Bogatić Municipal Assembly in five mandates. He also held several extremely important positions in the municipality of Bogatić. Among other things, he was the director of the Public Enterprise “Directorate for Construction, Land, Roads and Construction”, as well as the deputy mayor of Bogatić municipality since 2017. until 2020 years. At the constituent session of the Bogatić Municipality Assembly, held on 17 August 2020 year, he was elected by the votes of the majority of councilors as the president of the Bogatić Municipal Assembly.

Deputy President of the Municipal Assembly - Dragan Aćimović

The President of the Municipal Assembly has a deputy who replaces him in case of his absence and inability to perform his duties.

The Deputy President of the Municipal Assembly is elected in the same way as the President of the Municipal Assembly. The mandate of the Deputy President of the Municipal Assembly expires before the end of the term for which he was elected under the same conditions as the President of the Municipal Assembly.

The Deputy President of the Municipal Assembly may work permanently in the municipality.

Dragan Acimović

Dragan Aćimović from Banovo Polje was born on 03 September 1976 in Šabac. He is a successful private entrepreneur, married and the father of two children. Long-time president of the Municipal Board of the Serbian Radical Party in Bogatic. In the period from 2008 until 2012 He was a member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia. Member of the Bogatić Municipal Assembly for several mandates, and since 2008 until 2010 and deputy president of Bogatić municipality.

Secretary of the Municipal Assembly - Marija Đurđević

The Municipal Assembly has a Secretary who takes care of performing professional tasks related to convening and holding sessions of the Municipal Assembly and its working bodies and manages administrative tasks related to their work.

The Secretary of the Municipal Assembly is appointed for four years, at the proposal of the President of the Municipal Assembly, and may be reappointed.

The Secretary of the Municipal Assembly may be appointed by a person who has graduated from the Faculty of Law, passed the professional exam for working in administrative bodies and has at least three years of work experience.

The secretary may have a deputy, who replaces him in the event of his absence and inability to perform his duties, and who is appointed and dismissed in the same manner and under the same conditions as the secretary.

Marija Đurđević

Marija Đurđević was born on 10 September 1981 in Šabac. She graduated from the “Nikola Tesla” elementary school in Dublje, and the “Dr. Andra Jovanović” secondary medical school in Šabac – holder of the “Vuk Karadžić” diploma. She graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Novi Sad in 2007. years. Since 2007 until 2008 worked as a volunteer intern in the Basic Court in Šabac – judicial unit in Bogatić.

Municipal council

It belongs to the executive bodies of the municipality.

The municipal council consists of the mayor, the deputy mayor and seven members of the municipal council who are elected by the municipal assembly, for a period of four years, by secret ballot, with a majority of the total number of councilors.

Candidates for members of the Municipal Council are proposed by the candidate for the President of the Municipality. When deciding on the election of the municipal president, the Municipal Assembly also decides on the election of the deputy mayor and members of the Municipal Council.

The president of the municipality is the president of the Municipal Council. The Deputy Mayor is a member of the Municipal Council by function.

Members of the Municipal Council elected by the Municipal Assembly cannot be councilors at the same time, and can be in charge of one or more areas under the jurisdiction of the municipality. The mandate of the councilor who is elected as a member of the Municipal Council ends.
