The situation on the watercourses in Mačva is stabilizing

The headquarters for emergency situations of the municipality of Bogatić informs the citizens that in the area of the municipality of Bogatić during the past few days, due to heavy rainfall, there was an overflow from the riverbed of the Sava and Drina rivers, but the condition of the watercourses is stable.

The water level of the Drina river, according to today’s data from the RHMZ, is 301 cm, which is below the limit of regular flood defense, and the water level of the Sava is 660 cm, which is 10 cm above the limit of regular flood defense, and on sections C.4.4 at facility 7. (Right embankment along the Sava and Drina from Banovo Brod to Crna Bara, 3.71 km) regular flood protection was introduced on the “Sava-Šabac” Water Unit, and according to the data from the measuring stations, the Sava is in a slight decline.

Members of the Saba for Emergency Situations and representatives of the local self-government were on the spot and determined the factual situation.
